A documentary by history professor Stephen R.C. Hicks entitled Nietzsche and the Nazis reminded me that the philosophy that Christian theology is rooted in is not by any means the enemy of humanity, as some atheists claim, but to the contrary. It is rather the philosophy that says that God is Dead that leads to the burning of books and in time to the burning of people.
As we enter a new calendar year, may all those who have turned away from God in protest or for any reason come to see who their true enemies are and understand that it is not God nor God's Church.
